About Us
Seedling is a non profit organization providing school based mentoring for children impacted by parental incarceration. Our goal is to mitigate the impact of parental incarceration through a ongoing friendship with an adult mentor who invests in the lives of the children. Over 70% of the children served by Seedling are Hispanic. Seedling serves over 600 children per year in Central Texas schools. There are an estimated 8000 children in the Austin MSA who have a parent that is incarcerated.
